Cloud Arc, Orange Splendor, and Sun Burst are examples of the many pastel photos. Cloud Arc’s alternate name is Arc-en-ciel, which literally translates Arc in the Sky in French but means Rainbow. In converting Cloud Arc into digital from the film, I have still not been able to match the color of the original 4×6 print and the enlargement made in film technique. There is a variation inside this site. I am still experimenting to get what feels like the real image. I loved the film version, which was close to this one. This image has been drum scanned by West Coast Imaging to get the highest amount of detail.
